Positioning Rules Graphic in the Workspace Area

You can position a rule graphic by manually selecting the rule area on the page or by entering coordinates in the X, Y, Width, and Height fields on the properties area.

Manually positioning

To position a rule manually:

  1. Go to the Insert tab to add the content type to the selected rule.
    • If , the selection tool, is active, a blue highlight is applied to the selected area to help identify matched rules.
  2. Select the content area to define a rectangular or square region.The cursor becomes a position icon.

Positioning with X, Y, Width or Height Coordinates

To position a matched element with X, Y, Width or Height coordinates:

  1. Select the rule graphic region.
  2. On the right side of the screen, in the PROPERTIES panel, enter coordinates in the X and Y fields to position the rule on the page.
