Overview

Use the PDF2PDFUA tool together with a PDF2PDFUA control file to transform an input PDF file to a PDF/UA compliant file. The ISO standard 14289 describes the technical requirements so that a PDF file is PDF/UA compliant. The W3C's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) was written considering the Web content. It contains principles, guidelines and success criteria on how to create content that can be accessible. The requirements for the PDF/UA standard are complementary to the WCAG 2.0 success criteria and are therefore compliant with its requirements.
