Creating and Defining Structure Rules
The Structure section contains structure elements to configure rules based on conditions or repeating
elements.
- Region: indicates the grouping of multiple rules within the same container that acts like
a parent for the container elements.
- Note:
- The Region element is similar to the Repeating Group as structure, except that Region is only executed once.
- Repeating Group indicates a repeating structure rule.
When to use Region:
- A list of rules matched within a Region rule allows the rules to be moved all at once by moving the Region rule.
- A rule matched within a Region rule inherits the Region coordinate value if the Export As coordinate field of the rule is set on Absent.
- Repeating Group: indicates a repeating structure rule.
- Condition: defines conditions for a rule.
See Condition Editor for information on how to work with the Condition Editor.
- Anchor: sets the current processing cursor pointer.
- Macro: creates a macro-based rule, that invokes of a macro definition.
- Section: allows you to organize rules into sections that are tagged as structural elements
or containers. For example, you can use Section to tag multiple paragraphs into a section that uses a particular language.
Note: The difference between region and section is that region behaves as a logical unit and section behaves as a structural unit.
