Using the PDF2PDFUA Tool through the AFP2PDF Plus Transform
To convert AFP files into PDF/UA documents, you must add this option parameter in the AFP2PDF Plus configuration file:
- PDFUA_CONTROL_FILE=file
- Specifies the fully qualified name of the PDF2PDFUA tool control file. This file is an XML that contains information on the input file content. The PDF2PDFUA Tool uses the document to mark the content as the PDF/UA standard requires.
- PDFUA_CACHE_SIZE=number
- Specifies the number of most used PDFUA control files stored in cache. The number should be greater than 0.
- Note:
- For an encrypted or a linearized PDF/UA output file set the AFP2PDF Plus option file
entries, when running through the AFP2PDF Plus transform:
- For encryption:
Default_Encryption_PermissionsDefault_owner_passwordDefault_user_passowrd- For creating linearized documents:
Default_linearization
For more information on how to set the options, see the chapter AFP2PDF Plus Transform Options File from the AFP2PDF Plus User's Guide.
Limitation:
- When creating PDF/UA files, AES 256-bit encryption is not supported.
