Limitations

AFP2PDF Plus Config UI is still under development. Some planned features are not yet implemented. Here is a list of current limitations:

  • If the font resources for an AFP font are not available, not included in the AFP file, not provided in an external resource group file, and not found in a configured resource folder, the preview does not display with the default mapping and does not match the appearance of the printed output.
  • The current version of AFP2PDF Plus Config UI does not fully import existing customer configuration files.
  • You cannot create a mapping for an entire DBCS raster font. A DBCS raster font is created from several SBCS raster fonts. You can map only the individual SBCS fonts that it contains.
  • Mapping to TrueType fonts, OpenType fonts, and fonts in TrueType collections is not yet supported.
  • Custom metrics mappings are not yet supported for Type 1 fonts or for Base 14 fonts.
