Selecting Sonoran fonts

Map an AFP font to a Sonoran font to emulate IBM Sonoran fonts.

Sonoran fonts emulate the IBM Sonoran font family using Base14 fonts with custom metrics. These fonts provide compatibility with documents originally created using IBM Sonoran fonts.

  1. Go to Target font type and select Sonoran from the list.
    The font selection options appear.
  2. Go to Target font and select the target Sonoran font from the list.
    The list contains fonts that emulate specific IBM Sonoran fonts. Select the font that best matches your original AFP font characteristics.
The preview panel updates to show the document with the Sonoran font applied.
Note: Bold and Italic options are not available for Sonoran fonts. The style is built into the font definition.
