Preparing to upgrade to the latest version of InfoPrint Manager for Linux
Before running the InfoPrint Manager Installer to upgrade to the latest version of InfoPrint Manager for Linux, it is extremely important to make a complete backup of your current printing system. For details on how to back up your system, see the product documentation. To be completely safe, it is recommended that you make a backup of each volume group before proceeding.
The only foolproof way to reverse the upgrade process (or to recover from an upgrade failure) is to restore your system from a backup.
The upgrade process will interrupt any active print jobs that have been submitted. You should delete all active and pending jobs before upgrading.
During the process of installing the InfoPrint Manager software, your Linux software might be updated to make sure that InfoPrint Manager will function properly. If you are missing any required Linux rpm packages, the installer will direct you to install them from your Linux product media.
