Using AFP TrueType Fonts
When TrueType fonts and fonts in TrueType font collection are specified in an AFP
object container, the AFP2PDF Plus Transform automatically extracts, converts and
embeds a TrueType subset into the output PDF file.
Linked TrueType fonts and the use of a Resource Access Table (RAT) are not supported.
- Note:
- Truetype fonts specified in the AFP file, but not embedded in it, are searched within the path specified in the TrueType_Directory configuration file entry. If this entry is missing, the default path is "Font_path/TrueType".
- Similar to the Truetype fonts, fonts in TrueType font collection that are specified
in AFP file, but are not embedded in it are searched within the path specified in
the TrueType_Directory configuration file entry. You need an additional config file
entry if the font name differs from the font collection name. You need an entry in
alias.fntfont config file entry that looks similar to what we have for the mapping AFP fonts to TrueType font collections. For more information about Font3 and Font4, go to: Mapping AFP Fonts to TrueType Fonts, OpenType Fonts, or TrueType Collection Fonts.
